Project focusing on the storage and public display of large-scale artworks on the premises of a former steel processing plant/warehouse. Based on the concept of a “showcase warehouse” exhibiting works of art, the facility will open to the public in the fall of 2014. Open Storage aims to become a new kind of hub for creative endeavors including next to the storage and exhibition also the creation of artworks, and function at once as a testing site for extraordinary art projects that face limitations in terms of format and size at conventional art museums or galleries. Stored here at present are works by Kenji Yanobe, UJINO, Hironari Kubota, Teppei Kaneuji,Miwa Yanagi and Kohei Nawa.
